Emilie Houde ND.A — Naturopathe agréée Last updated: July 20, 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking a consultation or using this website. By booking an appointment or using emiliehoudenaturopath.com, you agree to the terms below.

1. Nature of naturopathic services

I am an accredited naturopath (ND.A). Naturopathy is a complementary approach to health that supports the body's natural capacity for balance and healing. It is important to understand:

  • Naturopathic consultations do not constitute a medical diagnosis, prescription, or medical treatment.

  • I do not replace your family doctor, medical specialist, or any other licensed healthcare professional. Naturopathic care is intended to complement, not substitute, conventional medical care.

  • You should continue to consult a physician for any diagnosis, medical condition, medication management, or emergency care, and should not stop or change any medical treatment without first speaking to the prescribing professional.

  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact emergency services (911) or go to the nearest emergency room immediately — do not rely on this website or a naturopathic consultation.

2. No guarantee of results

Every individual responds differently to naturopathic recommendations. While I bring care, professional judgment, and evidence-informed practices to every consultation, I cannot and do not guarantee specific results, symptom resolution, or health outcomes. Recommendations are based on the information you provide; it is your responsibility to share accurate and complete information about your health history and current condition.

3. Booking, consultations, and payment

  • Appointments can be booked through the website's booking system.

  • Online consultations are conducted via Google Meet. You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private space for your session.

  • Payment is made by e-transfer or other manual method, as agreed at the time of booking, and is due [insert timing, e.g. "at the time of booking" or "within 48 hours of the appointment"].

  • Prices for services are listed on the website or provided directly and may be updated from time to time; the price confirmed at the time of booking will apply to that appointment.

4. Cancellation & no-show policy

  • Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments ("no-shows"), may be subject to a cancellation fee of [insert amount or percentage, e.g. "$X" or "50% of the session cost"].

  • I understand that emergencies happen — if something comes up, please reach out as soon as possible and we'll do our best to find a solution.

5. Client responsibilities

By booking a consultation, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about your health history and current condition

  • Disclose any medications, supplements, or treatments you are currently undergoing

  • Inform me of any changes to your health status between appointments

  • Consult your physician before making any changes to prescribed medical treatment

6. Confidentiality

Information shared during consultations is treated as strictly confidential, in accordance with my professional obligations as an accredited naturopath and as described in the [Privacy Policy]. Confidentiality may only be set aside where required by law, such as an imminent risk to health or safety, or a court order.

This does not limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Minors

Services are intended for adults. Consultations involving a minor require the consent and, where appropriate, the presence or involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Québec, Canada. Any dispute arising from these terms or the services provided will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Québec.
